Job Description

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work for a global business, supporting CEO’s, the Merchandising Director, Finance Director and other business heads with complex financial data that supports the procurement process on a huge scale.

The purpose of the role is to ensure robust and accurate data collection, such as spend or savings data, subsequent controlled archiving of the data, and the creation of timely and accurate reports and presentations utilising this data for a variety of audiences.

You will do this by developing and delivering key reporting metrics; providing robust, timely and accurate financial and data reporting; and providing analytical analysis and incremental insights from the data to drive improvements and ways of working. You will also be required to design and implement new systems to implement this methodology.

The role also has two added value functions:

• To challenge the status quo and develop improved analytical methodologies of reporting (such as identifying savings versus the market) that provide measurement of performance

• To identify key insights and metrics from the data to drive optimisation, efficiency, continual improvement and success. Examples of this may be analysis of savings on a YOY basis, analysis of categories, analysis of savings versus the market.

• To drive improvements in the data collation and the outputs of that data, determining the best methodology to report savings.

• To ensure the business make insight-based and fact-based decisions based on data analysis, not assumption.

• The role will also be required to create reports and presentations using the data and to present outputs to the business.

• Additionally, the role will be required to operate as a key member of the central team to ensure compliance with rules and requirements, and to work closely with the Compliance Manager.

• To contribute towards process improvements and continually challenge, evolve and improve ways of working constructively.

You must possess strong commercial acumen, advanced presentation skills and have a proven ability to manipulate and analyse large sets of data in order to produce meaningful information for a business.
