EMEA Optane Sales Manager

Job Description

This is a commission based solution sales specialist position within Intel SMG Sales and Marketing Group, DCG Data Center Group Sales Group organization. The EMEA Optane Sales Manager is responsible for leading the EMEA region and is tasked with influencing and enabling end user customers, ISVs, OEMs, and partners to adopt Optane memory and storage solutions. Responsibilities include working closely with internal and partner sales teams to identify, qualify and close business in the Enterprise, Government, Telco and Cloud Service provider end user customers. As a member of the Intel Optane Sales Group, this role will also be responsible for identifying and cultivating new partnerships and working with Business Unit and Technical Sales Specialists to enable new solutions within the broader ecosystem, including training external and partner sales team and driving business for 3rd party Optane based solutions into the market. This leader will have an indirect team in EMEA and will work with these partners to drive and deliver the Optane revenue, design win and consumption KPIs.

As a part of the DPG portfolio, successfully growing the Optane business requires an entrepreneurial spirit, and success is built on rapid experimentation and innovation, at the product and customer level. The successful candidate will be able to evaluate and discuss the Optane product merits, develop ROI TCO models and co own relationships with customer decision makers to influence the customers purchasing decision. A great deal of collaboration is required with internal and external stakeholders to accelerate adoption of Optane solution through successful delivery and orchestration of PoCs with the TSS organization and by building new demand generation programs. The Optane Sales manager will provide direct assistance on pricing, training, workload and roadmap readiness to customers and partners, interfacing with purchasing decision makers for Line of Business and Operational Technology Groups and representing customer market segment requirements back into the business unit for future product planning.

In addition to day to day operational management of the Sales Specialists, the Optane Sales Manager will be expected to partner closely with the Technical Solution sales team, providing operational management of the sales pipeline, local sales staff, internal stakeholders and provide input to strategy formulation and prioritization at the worldwide level.


Qualifications

  • The candidate should have an MBA or business degree with 8 years of demonstrable experience in data center sales and with good knowledge of memory or storage dependent workloads.
  • Experience selling Cloud Solutions Public, Private, Hybrid.
  • Knowledge of Software Defined Infrastructure Solutions for Compute, Storage, Networking, Enterprise Segments.
  • Storage and Memory expertise is a must.
  • Solid understanding of key HW and SW trends within data centers related to Virtualization Software Defined Data Centre, Big Data Analytics, Database, Application Middleware, HPC, IOT, Machine Learning, Storage and Networking trends as well as General IT applications and Legacy IT.
  • Excellent remote working presence including strong time management and organizational skills, ability to continuously prioritize tasks in a very interrupt driven environment including customer design win pipeline management.
  • Good relationship building skills are necessary, including the ability to build a rapport and communicate effectively with all levels of Intel and the customer.
  • Strong team relationship skills with the ability to organize a virtual team around a task to win.
  • Strong skills as the trusted advisor in solving challenging technical and business problems.
  • Candidate needs to be able to integrate business, technical, market and environmental conditions into a compelling solution that meets the needs of Intel and the customer.
  • Candidate will be required to travel approx. 50 percent of the time.
