Job Description

A leading B2B global insurer is seeking a Head of External Marketing & Communications to design and implement the external communications and marketing strategy. Responsibilities: Establish and drive a comprehensive external communications and marketing strategy globally.Ensure the corporate identity is consistent across the organisation.Lead and support the delivery and development of initiatives and campaigns for a variety of global business priorities.Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders and to understand their marketing and digital needs.Improve the quality of external communications and drive client engagement across the company by identifying new capabilities.Develop, build and implement external communication strategies that support the company's ESG strategy.Working with regional business units, oversee the development and maintenance of the corporate website.Anticipate communications challenges and manage complex, reactive, fast–moving communications.Plan, draft and edit engaging messages for multiple channels, e.g. digital content, social media, press releases, reactive statements.Publish materials on website and coordinate broadcast distributions.Monitor, track and disseminate mentions in both social and traditional media channels.Proactively pitch communications to trade press. Requirements: Experience in external communications for a global company ideally in financial services / insurance. Excellent writing and editing skills.Creative thinker who can develop and implement ideas.Ability to form strong relationships with leadership and peers and be able to work effectively across a matrix organization.Strong interpersonal skills and a good presenter – able to make recommendations with gravitas and inspire confidence in others. Experience using technology and digital communications channels as an enabler of client engagement.UK experience is essential
