Job Description

At Anglian Home Improvements we are looking for a HR Advisor or HRA Assistant to join our HR team. Our Human Resource Advisors provide a professional generalist HR service and support to all allocated areas of the business.

The HRAdvisor or HRA Assistant role is predominantly responsible for all employee relations casework within allocated business areas ensuring that Company policy and procedures are followed and that any risk is appropriately assessed. To actively contribute to effective business performance and the HR Strategic Plan through implementation and delivery of a commercially focused people plan for allocated business areas.

What the Role is

  • Take responsibility for all employee relations casework within allocated business areas ensuring high risk cases are appropriately assessed
  • To produce a high standard of written correspondence for example disciplinary and grievance outcome letters as well as the skills to create appropriate ad hoc letters as required
  • Provide support and advice to managers who have been assigned roles in the management of employee relations cases and play a proactive role in resolving more complex issues
  • Co-ordinate and execute change management initiatives within areas of responsibility including: reorganisations, changes to structures and roles, redundancies
  • To manage employee’s attendance for assigned business areas through monthly monitoring and reviewing of attendance reports and providing HR advice to line managers where action is required, in line with the relevant Company policy whilst considering custom and practice
  • Support assigned business areas with the recruitment process as required
  •  To keep up to date with employment law changes and statutory rates

 What We Need

  • Able to clearly demonstrate good HR skills
  • Business or administration qualification or equivalent experience is essential
  • Microsoft office skills , including word and excel
  • Demonstrable ability to influence and advise in accordance with the business HR strategy or vision
  •  Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a HR generalist role or equivalent qualification
  • Previous Employee Relations case management experience including Disciplinary, Grievance, Performance, Redundancy, Medical Capability casework
  • HR and record management systems skills
