Position Summary

The role is critical to the success of our safety, health & environmental sustainability initiatives. The primary objective of the role is to protect and improve the safety of our employees through prevention, encouraging a culture where safety is embedded and ensuring health and environmental sustainability are ingrained as core values. Additionally, you will support, coach and guide the site leadership teams whilst also driving us to achieve best in class performance and supporting us on our SH&E journey. The position ensures compliance of all SH&E aspects of the Sites and sets local SH&E strategies for overall success in alignment with corporate policy and common practices.

Position requires skills to:

-Develop Capability of Managers: Ensure training and coaching is provided to managers and team leaders to help them take ownership, and lead & manage S&H within their area of responsibility. Provide personal coaching and support to Site/Unit Management Team.
-Develop S&H Networks: Develop & coordinate S&H networks of professionals, champions, and SMEs for the site/unit. Develop their functional and leadership competencies and ensure robust succession plans for key S&H positions.
-Provide Guidance: Ensure managers receive trusted guidance & support on relevant S&H matters. Identify expertise and good practices from inside and outside Nestlé and communicate them internally (both within the site/unit and beyond).
-Provide Support: Co-ordinate internal & external resources to ensure delivery of high quality and efficient S&H support, e.g., exposure monitoring, health promotion, health surveillance, training. Leverage SHE-PM and other tools to monitor & analyze performance and improve decision making.
-Audit & Review: Ensure compliance is regularly audited and performance assessed, and the results used to drive further improvement. Promote effective communication of successes and learnings, and recognition for strong performers and contributors.

Engagement: Engage with external stakeholders (e.g., trades unions, local regulators, local communities, and local NGOs) on S&H topics to build long term, positive relationships.

-Participate in external forums to benchmark with other companies and share Nestlé practices.

Inspire Change and Create Strategy:
-Site S&H strategy and implementation plan, with leading & lagging indicators.
-Site contribution to our public S&H commitments.

Implement NMS:
-ISO & ISO certifications, S&H programs, independent audit reports.
-Develop Capability of Managers:
-Capabilities and behaviors of line managers and functional heads, e.g., GEMBA walks.
-Completion of S&H leadership training.

Develop S&H Networks:
-Active networks of Professionals, Champions and SMEs, with appropriate competencies. Succession plans for key S&H positions.
Provide Guidance:
-Feedback from managers on quality of support.

Provide Support:
-S&H shared service metrics.
-Use of S&H scorecards across the site/unit.

Audit & Review:
-Internal audit program, including Functional Compliance Assessments. Management reviews.
-Site/unit communications and awards programs.

-Analyzed complex problems to identify multiple root causes.
-Influenced behavioral change in a team/department.
