Job Description

SUMMARY

Provide technical sales support on standard and custom stainless drainage products, providing product recommendation, & drawings based on customer requirement; also responsible for providing cost estimates and formal technical presentation to Sales, and shop drawings/sketch designs for Production Team. Will work closely with customers, sales team, and production team to define customer inputs and specifications and production feasibility analysis as needed.

Provide technical support: Help identify the best product solution for particular projects; advise on installation recommendations and procedures; provide hydraulic information and advice; provide help solving on-site problems. Collaborate with Sales, R & D, & Production team as needed to study project feasibility; timeline and budget; evaluate customer's needs and estimate cost, materials and scope of project. Determine if further modifications are needed based on customer specifications; collaborate with Sales & Production team to seek best solutions for customers. Use SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor and Auto Cad to create, modify, and edit submittal drawings package and shop drawings for production/fabrication. Provide design services i.e. layout drawings, part lists and shop drawings for individual projects. Provide a materials list for customer service of the distributors. Act as a "Project Coordinator" on major projects; responsible for gathering, verifying and communicating information on these projects to the appropriate personnel. Performs field failure analysis and solution evaluation for production product issues. Track modifications for market data and potential to standardize frequently requested modifications. Build and estimate quotes on semi-custom and fully custom solutions Communicate effectively with others, attend regular meetings with other departments and interact with global Building Drainage competence Centre. Provide customer service via phone and email. Super user of Building Drainage Configurator and provide training to ISR team.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Certificate or Degree in Mechanical or Civil, Engineering or strong knowledge of engineering principles. 2 to 5 years of recent work experience in Mechanical or Civil, Engineering or related field. 3 years of experience in project management & cost estimating. Prior experience with metal fabricated parts and/or metal fabricating equipment extremely helpful

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Knowledge of basic drafting room practices.

Able to read engineering / architectural drawings.

Outside of box thinker, creative in engineering and steel modification; strong problem solving skills.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite products.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Occasionally required to stand or walk.

Continually required to sit and work on a computer.

Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
